The project at the Tanjung Jati B power station, located in the Central Java province of Indonesia, stands out as a model of efficiency and technological advancement in the power generation industry. With the financial support of the American company BV and the execution by Huadian Heavy Industries, of the Huadian group, this project has marked a milestone in coal-fired power generation with its expansion of two units of 660 MW each. This breakthrough has positioned the Tanjung Jati B coal supply system among the top ten coal-fired power projects globally.
Within this project, the conveyor belt system plays an important role in ensuring an efficient and continuous supply of coal. With a total of twenty conveyor belts, varying in width between 1,200 and 1,400 mm, and a 400 mm diameter tubular conveyor spanning 9,376 metres, the project incorporates a deepwater discharge terminal capable of processing 1,500 tons of material per hour and extends 1.2 kilometers out to sea. This strategic design underlines the capacity and future vision of the Tanjung Jati B project.
